My recording was interrupted by a download message, can I avoid this?

You can ensure that a recording is not interrupted by setting a programme timer through the guide. Teletext Extra will not download whilst a timer is in operation. To set a timer, highlight the programme you want to record in the guide and press 'Blue'. Select Add Reminder/Timer from the menu Using the left and right arrow keys, choose whether this is a one-off timer (Single) or if it is repeated Daily or Weekly, press Select/OK. You will see a small clock symbol appear next to the programme synopsis. Remember you will also need to set a timer on your VCR or DVD Recorder. Once a timer has been set you can leave your box in standby and the recording will take place, but do not switch the box off at the mains as this will stop your programme from being recorded.
